Patch 1.0 adds 30+ trinkets and two events: the Traveling Merchant and Fossil Discovery. Their complete reward tables and odds are not in the developer’s launch announcement, so judge each offer in-game against your board’s trigger and payoff.

The confirmed release additions
Both new event names and the count of 30+ new trinkets come directly from the developer’s notes. The notes do not enumerate the whole reward pool or probability of seeing an event. Anyone offering exact odds from that announcement alone is extrapolating.
Decision card: before taking an event reward
| Ask | If yes | If no |
|---|---|---|
| Does this directly advance a current payoff? | Compare its opportunity cost against your next shop purchase. | Prefer flexible rewards that do not need a missing rare piece. |
| Does the effect need another monster on board? | Confirm placement and activation timing. | Do not count hypothetical future synergies as active. |
| Can it create extra trinkets? | Check eligible rarity and unique exclusions. | Assess standalone battle value instead. |
| Would the reward displace a core engine slot? | Re-evaluate your fielded team, not just bench. | Accept only if the effect advances the run. |
Fossil Discovery, as seen by a creator
Danagast’s September recording is titled around a Fossil Event changing a particular run. It is a useful viewing source for what one actual event decision looks like; it does not verify an exhaustive list of possible fossil outcomes. Inspect the event panel and offered reward in your live version.
Why the new UI matters
Positional trinket targets now show icons on their target slots. Start-of-Battle effects display one by one, and a monster inspect sheet is available on event screens. If your composition hinges on one effect, use those tools instead of guessing based on the collection illustration.
